Sunday, June 21, 2009
21st - 27th June, To be held at the Sion Community, Brentwood, near London, led by Mgr. Keith Barltrop, Fr. David Hartley, and some members of the Foyer in Tressaint, Brittany. The recommended donation will be £150. For further details, or to book a place, contact Fr. Keith on 020 8864 6454 or Keith.Barltrop@caseresources.org.uk This is the first such retreat to be held in Britain according to the model envisaged by the founder of the Foyers de Charité, Marthe Robin. The Foyers are communities of lay people with a priest, who welcome retreatants to their communities to hear again the basic Gospel message of God's love for mankind. These retreats generally last for five days and are held in silence, as a way of allowing the Word of God to penetrate more deeply into the heart. The Foyer movement is fully supported by the Church. At present there are more than seventy Foyers around the world, and it is hoped to found one in Britain in the not too distant future. For more information, see: http://www.foyers.org.uk/
